Download

On the right, under Downloads:

  • MP4 · 1080p: press Download. H.264, 30 fps, ready to upload to YouTube.
  • Subtitles · SRT: press SRT. Upload it to YouTube as captions, even if subtitles are burned into the video; it helps search and accessibility.

How long videos are kept

Finished MP4 and SRT files are deleted 30 days after render, on every plan. The date is shown as Deletes on … at the top of the page and in Settings → Storage. We email you 7 days before a video is deleted.

The storyboard is kept while you keep working on the video. After the files are deleted you can render it again to get a new MP4.

Videos nobody opens for 14 days are cleaned up. Drafts that were never rendered are deleted. Rendered videos keep the MP4 and SRT until their delete date, but the voiceover, your uploads and the storyboard files are removed, so the video can’t be edited or re-rendered any more. We email you 3 days before; opening a video starts its 14 days again.

Heads up. Download the MP4s you want to keep. We can’t restore deleted files.

Change something and re-render

  1. Press Edit storyboard. Change frames, looks, banners, music or the style.
  2. The page shows Needs re-render. Press Re-render and confirm.

A re-render costs the render credits again (7 a minute, plus 1 a minute for a Premium theme). Footage is never charged twice. The current MP4 stays available until the new one is ready.

The … menu

In the top bar:

  • Rename: the title in ViCut. It doesn’t change the YouTube title.
  • Duplicate settings: opens Home with this video’s settings, for the next video in a series.
  • Replace voiceover: see Replace or re-voice the narration.
  • Move to project: move the video to another project.
  • Delete video: deletes the video, storyboard, MP4 and subtitles. Credits are not returned.

Details

The Details panel lists the length, render date, mode, voice, style, subtitles, banner times and credits spent. Useful when you want the next video to match.
