October 13–19, 2026
- Faster re-renders. When you change a few scenes and render again, the scenes you didn't touch are reused instead of being rebuilt, so the second render takes a fraction of the time. ViCut also starts drawing your scenes in the background while you review the storyboard.
- Storyboard opens faster, even for long videos with hundreds of scenes.
- Better footage for advice videos. Health, finance, psychology and lifestyle videos now lean on stock footage that matches the meaning of each line, instead of archive photos that only share a word with it.
- History stays in its era. In stories set before 1950 or in ancient times, modern photos no longer slip into the scenes.
- Clearer number tags. The small number in the corner of a frame now says what it counts — "1,504 people", not just "1,504".
- Simpler composer. Video settings sit in two neat rows: language, length, voice and style with the price on top, the rest one click away. An idea now needs a short description, so there is enough to build a story from.
- Better prices on bigger plans. A minute of video is never more expensive on a higher plan. Plans start from $0.42 a minute.
- Leave feedback from anywhere. A feedback button in the corner of the app sends your message straight to our team, together with the page you were on.
- Works better on phones. The welcome and pricing pages fit small screens.
- Fixed: Download failed for videos with a question mark in the title.
- Improved reliability. The app now shows a clear notice if something on our side is slow or down, we monitor the service around the clock from outside, and we're moving file storage to a more reliable provider.

- 9 new AI voices — Peter, Bill, Graham, Eve, Mary, Jane, Caro, Anna and Vera. ViCut now has 38 voices.
- Footage that knows your story. Footage search now understands what the whole video is about and who, where and when each line refers to. A real photo of the place or person you name wins over generic stock.
- Real photo or stock? The storyboard now tells you whether a frame is a real photo of what the line names or a stock shot.
- First scene is a video clip, so your video opens with motion.
- Photos look right. Portraits and tall photos are framed whole instead of being cropped or panned, photos picked by hand are shown in full, and panoramas and banners no longer get stretched across the screen.
- Fewer repeats. The same photo no longer appears twice side by side or in neighbouring scenes.
- Smarter YouTube chapters. Countdown chapters are short ("#13 Nashville"), and the intro and the ending get their own named chapters.
- Subscribe banner where you want it. Add banner places it at the timeline cursor.
- Faster preparation and render for long videos.
- Render time as a range. The render screen shows an honest time range instead of a single estimate.
- Voice changes just work. Generate voice always switches to the voice you pick, and replacing the voiceover works for videos of any length from 30 seconds.
- Storyboard stays in sync. After you edit one scene, every scene preview refreshes.
- New pages: Script to video and Voiceover to video.
- Partner program. Creators can now apply to earn with ViCut on the partners page.

- Improved reliability. Your projects are now backed up every night.
